The world itself is a place of mysteries and wonders where only a handful is explained and is known to people. However, countless more wonders and unexplained theories remain, which till today even the biggest of brains are unable to decode and explain the truth that lie hidden behind. Here are the top 10 unsolved mysteries of the world.

1. Shroud of Turin
The Shroud of Turin is believed to bear the image of a man who has been crucified and is considered to be the shroud of Jesus Christ, as said by most of the Catholics of the world. Even today the question of how and where this shroud has come from, its origin of existance, still remains a question to all the experts of this world, therefore has no definite answer. Believers explain that this was the cloth that had been draped over Jesus Christ after he was crucified, and the image that appears on the cloth is that of the lord himself. Today this is kept preserved in the Cathedral of St.John the Baptist, in Italy. Though various tests has been performed to explain about the imprinted image on the cloth, and even the material on which the image is seen to be found, skeptical arguments remain of which none has been confirmed so far.

2. Mary Celeste
Mary Celeste originally called as “Amazon” was launched in 1860 in Nova Scotia. It was a huge merchant ship that went missing with the Captain Briggs, his wife, young daughter and a crew of eight. The ship was loaded with 1700 barrels of alcohol headed towards Geneva in Italy. Later the ship was found abandoned with practically nothing missing and no signs of struggle, but the entire members of the crew missing. Till date, their missing is still unanswered though various theories regarding their fate had been put forward but with no apparent explanation.

3. The Taos Hum
It is noted that in various parts of USA, UK and northern Europe a low frequency, yet a persistent hum is said to be heard in various geographical locations, more like that of a diesel engine running far. The source of this sound is still undetectable inspite of finding its existence through microphones and VLF antenna. Experts believe that the sound may also be because of some volcanic reaction taking place in the earth’s core. Though this hum has been recorded for study, even today it is under the notification of experts, with mysteriously this sound being spread to farther regions o f the existing places that it is being heard now.

4. Black Dahlia
Elizabeth Short, a 22 year old, received the name “Black Dahila”, after her murder in 1947, where she was found murdered, cut in two pieces in a parking lot. The investigation of this murder had created wide speculations in the LA, and even today this is a spine chilling unsolved mystery where the killer had never been caught.

5. Comte de Saint Germain
A “jack of all trades” is what Saint Germain was described about. He was a courtier, an alchemist, inventor, violinist an amateur composer and so on. He was a wonder man who came and died with no trace of his existence or where he belonged to. He has been considered as a powerful deity since his death and is considered to be role model because of the various skills that he possessed.

6. Voynich manuscript
This is believed to be a medieval manuscript of the 15th or 16th century, whose script is yet to be deciphered apart from the mysteries of its author and language. This was a subject of all the famous cryptographers of the world, who finally had to accept defeat, concluding that it must just be a script of non-meaningless symbols.

7. Jack the Ripper
Jack the ripper is one of the famous unsolved mysteries that it has taken into various forms of illustrating it in movies and books and journals. Jack the ripper is to have been lived during the 1888 where a series of murders of prostitutes brutally mutilated would be found. The killer was never found, but the legend of the ripper still remains.

8. Bermuda triangle
Disappearance would occur in an area of water in the North Atlantic, the reason which would be unexplained. Exaggerated reports of bad weather, alien abduction and many more were put forward, but till date, it is an unexplained theory.

9. The Zodiac Killer
This killer was active in the 1960′s, where the killer used to disclose himself as the murderer though not revealing his name. His murder weapon was usually the pistol, and had even sent a crypted letter to the cops, describing his fantasy for killing humans. Though an arrest was made, all evidence was against the culprit, and till date, the Zodiac killer is free.

10. The Babushka Lady
This mysterious lady took its origin during the Kennedy assassination in 1963.

Choosing a good rifle scope is something that hunters are experts for, unlike common man. It is necessary to have a good one intended for their princely catch. Usually these are available at unimaginable power and different configurations and sizes. Below are listed some of the top 10 rifle scopes that are in use today.

1. Nikon scopes
The BSA scopes provide a variety of different gunning situations.

3. Leupold scope
This is the most sought after scope in the market. The turrets of leupold are finger adjustable and are easier to use and provides much faster focus with the presence of an ocular lens. Its grid is simply perfect for hunting smaller animals, and it comes along with a Boone Crockett which is suitable for users that require high magnification of the objects. But as for every rifle, this too mentions that, closer the focus is, increased is the accuracy of the shot.

4. ATN scopes
This is a result of the invention of American Technology and is a right choice for a good night vision, which is highly intended for the military and law enforcement authorities. It consists of an infrared illuminator which helps you to target an object 150 yards away from your position. Its ergonomic design makes it apt to use in total darkness. Hunters wanting to ward off their night varmints choose this as their best option. Digital technology plays its role here along with its upgraded 90mm lens, even then making it an inexpensive thing to opt for.

5. Bushnell scopes

Phobia is a word probably familiar to many people. When a person flaps around a room, has a panic attack or shakes uncontrollably, there are chances that he is suffering from phobia. A phobia is an irrational fear and the sufferers are very well aware that their behavior is abnormal. It is a subconscious fear and no rationality or logic can help. According to the psychologists Rosenhan and Seligman, there are some specific phobias that evolve. However, few others argue that it’s the lack of cultural learning that generates phobia. For instance, though South Americans are surrounded by most dangerous species of spiders around the world, they are least afraid of them. It is likely that a bad childhood experience could generate a never ending phobia. In this article, we will discuss the most common top 10 phobias around the world.

1. Arachnophobia: Arachnophobia is the fear of spiders and almost half of women and 10 % of men have fear for spiders to some extent.

2. Aerophobia: It means fear of flying. This phobia is very much general in most of the people. It could develop if someone watches plane crash news or loses a close relative in a plane crash accident.

3. Social phobia: It is a phobia associated with negative emotions in a person. People suffering from this phobia are afraid of being misjudged or accused. It begins most commonly in childhood or adolescence. Almost 5.3 million American adults are said to be suffering from this phobia.

4. Acrophobia: It means fear of height and is a very common phobia. In such condition, people feel that their head is tossing when they look down from great heights.

5. Claustrophobia: People suffering from anxiety are in general a victim of this phobia. During this anxiety disorder, a person feels himself extremely enclosed and confined.

6. Agoraphobia: Agoraphobia involves intense fear and avoidance of any situation or place. The sufferers feel that the escape might be impossible and any help unavailable in such situations. They develop sudden panic attacks.

7. Emetophobia: It’s the fear of vomiting. In such situations, a person has a deep fear to vomit and is also scared of seeing someone vomiting.

8. Carcinophobia: It is an acute form of fear from cancer. This fear is very unnatural and the sufferer takes every negative bodily symptom to be a cancer.

9. Necrophobia: Necrophobia is the fear of the dead. They are most common in people who are afraid of death. These people are even afraid of seeing the dead bodies of animals.

10. Brontophobia: people having fear of thunderstorms come in this category. This phobia is most common in children. However, this specific phobia has also been found among adults and teenagers. It is also called Astraphobia, Keraunophobia, and Tonitrophobia .

Besides the above mentioned top 10 phobias, there are many other phobias affecting people. These phobias are generally developed in childhood days. Children undergoing a negative childhood experience develop a negative attitude about themselves, which generally pops out in the form of common fears of one form or the other.
